Gus Tarballs i gwardziści / Gus Tarballs and the guards

Przygotowałem kolejny już oddział mojej armii plemienia Tanga i jak zwykle dla plemiennych regularnych oddziałów użyłem figurek Italeri z zestawu "Vietnamese Army/Vietcong". Tym razem usunąłem kapelusze i hełmy, następnie zastąpiłem je beretami własnej roboty, ulepionymi z Green Stuff-u. Ci kolesie będą oddziałem gwardzistów dowodzonym jak poprzednio przez najemnego instruktora (typa w środku w kamuflażu typu Tiger Stripe). A oto fluff dla nich:

Gwardziści Olidadebe są rekrutowani wyłącznie pośród członków jego klanu. Są mu absolutnie wierni, gdyż złożyli starożytną przysięgę krwi. W zamian są nagradzani wyższą płacą, lepszym żarciem i najpiękniejszymi kobietami. Noszą berety w kolorze krwi - takim samym jak Olisadebe, których barwa ma przypominać im ich świętą przysięgę. Z przyjemnością pragnę także zakomunikować, że legendarny Gus Tarballs zasilił szeregi najemników Olisadebe. Po jego błyskotliwym sukcesie na Metavirze w kampanii przeciwko korporacji DFK i ciężkiej pracy dla A.I.M. podczas kampanii w Arulco - Gus przeszedł w stan spoczynku. Teraz jednak wraca do gry. Mimo, że zgodził się zostać jedynie szkoleniowcem, jednak jego olbrzymie doświadczenie sprawi, że krewni Olisadebe staną się najlepiej wyszkoloną regularną jednostką w armii plemienia Tanga.

Another unit for my Tanga tribe army is already done. As always for Tanga regulars I used Italeri's "Vietnamese Army/Vietcong" set. This time the hats and helmets were removed and changed by berets made by me with using of Green Stuff. These guys will be the guard unit as last time led by mercenary instructor (the man in the centre in Tiger Stripe camo). Here's some fluff fo them:

Olisadebe's guards are recruited only from his own clan. They are absolutely faithful, because they took the ancient blood oath of total loyalty. They are honoured by Olisedebe by higher pay, better food and by the most beatuful women. They wear the berets in blood red colour - in same colour as Olisadebe's one to remember their sacred oath. I'm pleased to annouce that the legendary Gus Tarballs is now a member of Olisadebe's ranks. After his brilliant success in Metavira campaign against DFK Corporation and hard mercenary work for A.I.M. in Arulco campaign - Gus have retired. Now he is back in bussiness. Although he agreed to be only the instructor, but he has enough experience to train the Olisadebe's clansmen to best regular soldiers in Tanga tribe.

Z niewielką pomocą dowództwa dywizji / With a little help from division HQ

Dziś spotkałem się w "Strategu" ze Stemirem i z Chochlą, aby szlifować zasady do "Force on Force". Wybraliśmy prosty scenariusz i nieskomplikowany teren, aby skupić się na regułach. Rzućcie okiem na foto-story.
Today I met in "Strateg" with Stemir and Chochla to practice some "Force on Force " rules. We chose an easy scenario with simple terrain to focus on the rules. Please take a look on the photo story.

Oberleutnant Scheisskopf otrzymał cynk od swego francuskiego informatora, że amerykańscy spadochroniarze wylądowali niedalego miasteczka Boulangerie. Zebrał więc swoich ludzi i popędził wraz z nimi w okolice mieściny.
Oberleutnant Scheisskopf gained the information from his French informer that American paratroopers had landed near the village of Boulangerie. He gathered his troops and arived with them to the fields near the village.

Poprawiamy błędy producenta / Correcting producer's mistakes

Mój niemiecki pluton w letnim umundurowaniu zbudowany na figurkach Plastic Soldier Company potrzebuje paru typków ze StG44. Znalazłem kilka ciekawych póz w zestawie Caesara "German Infantry", ale niestety producent rozjechał się nieco z dokładnością historyczną. Zamiast krótkich butów z opinaczami dał figurkom wycofane z użycia wysokie buty marszowe. Kolejnym problemem była anatomia. Nogi okazały się być zbyt szczupłe, a głowy zbyt małe.

Najpierw usunąłem oryginalne główki i zamieniłem je wyjętymi z zestawu Plastic Soldier Company (wszak w tym zestawie znajduje się kilka zapasowych elementów). Kolejnym krokiem było pogrubienie nóg i ubranie ich we właściwe obuwie. Zrobiłem to przy pomocy nieśmiertelnego Green Stuff-u :) Następnie zrobiłem zdjęcie oryginalnych figurek z moimi skonwertowanymi i pomalowanymi. No teraz są poprawne zarówno historycznie, jak i anatomicznie!

My Plastic Soldier Company's late German infantry in summer uniforms platoon needs some guys with StG44. I found some interesting poses in Ceasar Miniatures "German Infantry" set but unfortunately the producer had some problems with historical accuracy. Instead of ankle boots and canvas anklets, the obsolete marching boots were made. I had another problem with figures' anathomy. The legs were too thin and the heads were too small.

First I remove the original heads and I changed them with Plastic Soldier Company's bits (extra heads were added to the PSC set). Another step were to make the legs thicker and dressed with proper boots and canvas. I made it with a little help from Green Stuff :) Next I took a picture of original figures with converted and painted new ones. Now they are historical and anatomical correct!

Zdobyć most! / Capture the bridge!

Dziś w "Strategu" rozegraliśmy epizod, który rozegrał się gdzieś w Holandii. Był to fragment olbrzymiej operacji "Market-Garden". Amerykańskie oddziały spadochronowe otrzymały rozkazy, aby zdobyć most. Jednak połączone siły Waffen-SS i Wehrmachtu skutecznie odparły atak. Wielu amerykańskich chłopców nie powróci do swoich domów po dzisiejszym popołudniu...

Today in "Strateg" we played an episode somewhere in Holland. It was a part of huge operation "Market-Garden". American airborne forces had the orders to capture the bridge. But mixed Waffen-SS and Wehrmacht battleforce stopped them. Many American boys will not back to their homes after today's afternoon...

Raider i jego milicja / Raider and his militia

Skończyłem pierwszy oddział milicji plemienia Tanga. Podobnie jak ostatnim razem dowodzi nimi najemnik z A.I.M. To ten biały koleś z wąsami i karabinkiem snajperskim Dragunowa.

Porucznik Ron "Raider" Higgens był niegdyś dowódcą oddziału SWAT policji Los Angeles. Gdy zakochał się w pięknej snajperce sierż. Charlene Higgens, postanowili wspólnie utrzymywać swój związek w tajemnicy, aż do zeszłego roku, gdy zdecydowali się wziąć ślub. Ponieważ L.A.P.D. odmówiło im zezwolenia na wspólną pracę w oddziale, wstąpili więc do A.I.M. Raider jest zorganizowany, doświadczony i podejmuje trafne decyzje. To urodzony przywódca i instruktor. Oddział milicji, którym dowodzi wyszkolił na doskonałym poziomie.

The first unit of Tanga tribe militia is already done. As last time they are commanded by a mercenary from the A.I.M. That's the white man in the centre with moustaches and with Dragunov sniper rifle.

Lt. Ron "Raider" Higgens is a former commander of the Los Angeles SWAT team. When he fell in love with his ace sniper, Sgt. Charlene Higgens, they managed to keep their relationship a secret up until a year ago. When they decided to marry. The L.A.P.D. refused to allow them to continue working together, so they joined A.I.M. He's organized, experienced, and decisive. Raider is a natural leader and instructor, very much in command. He has taught their militiamen very well.

Akcja partyzantów / Partizan raid

Wczorajszego popołudnia spotkałem się z kilkoma kolegami ze "Stratega", aby rozegrać scenariusz do "Ambush Alley: Force of Force". Partyzanci z Armii Krajowej zaatakowali niewielką fabryczkę, gdzie byli uwięzieni ich towarzysze broni. W międzyczasie druga grupa partyzantów rozpoczęła akcję dywersyjną, aby wprowadzić zamęt w szeregach wroga oraz aby zniszczyć dwa nieprzyjacielskie wozy bojowe. Zaskoczeni Niemcy walczyli z wielkim poświęceniem, w kulminacyjnym momencie bitwy zaatakowali wręcz. Pięści i bagnety poszły w ruch! To był moment zwrotny potyczki. Mimo, że wielu Niemców poległo, to Polacy musieli się wycofać. Misja ratunkowa zakończyła się niepowodzeniem i tylko jeden pojazd został zniszczony. Niemcy, którzy przeżyli zostali udekorowani Żelaznymi Krzyżami.

W przyszłym tygodniu planujemy coś zagrać w klimatach operacji "Market-Garden". A dziś rzućcie okiem na zdjęcia z wczorajszej gry.

Yesterday afternoon I met with some friends in "Strateg" to play "Ambush Alley: Force of Force" scenario. Polish Home Army parizants raided the small factory where their brothers in arms were imprisoned. Meanwhile the second partizan battlegroup was making the distraction to confuse the enemies and to destroy two German armoured cars. Suprised Jerries fought with bravery and in culminating point they charged to melee combat with fists and bayonets! This was a turning point of the battle. Many Germans were killed, but Polish partizans withdrew from battlefield. The rescue mission was failure and only one vehicle was destroyed. Survived Germans were decorated with the Iron Crosses.

Drużyna Steroida / Steroid's squad

Skończyłem pierwszy oddział armii pułkownika Olisadebe. Jego współplemieńcy otrzymali nowe mundury i sporą ilość poradzieckiej broni, jak AK-47, SKS, RPD czy RPG. Dostali także instruktora. Oficer ten to słynny Bobby "Steroid" Gontarski z A.I.M. (Associaton of International Mercenaries - Stowarzyszenie Międzynarodowych Najemników).

Jestem wiernym fanem serii gier komputerowych z cyklu "Jagged Alliance 2" i wpadłem na pomysł, aby przemycić kilku najemników z MERCa lub A.I.M. do mojej armii Olisadebe. Steroid to mój ulubiony pies wojny w "Jagged Alliance 2".

Ten były strażak z Warszawy jest niezwykle skuteczny podczas nocnych operacji, zaś jego wiedza o elektronice jest na całkiem niezłym poziomie. Jak widać jest także niezłym szkoleniowcem. Jego brutalna siła i umiejętność zastraszania sprawia, że jego drużyna jest nieco skuteczniejsza niż inne w armii Olisadebe. Sądzę, że w "Ambush Alley: Force on Force" jego żołnierze powinni rzucać testy morale dychą, gdy są dowodzeni przez Steroida.

Ponieważ Steroid po kampanii w Arulco czuje się weteranem - nosi nieco militariów: spodnie M65 Woodland, Flak Vest oraz czerwony beret - dokładnie taki jak polscy spadochroniarze. Jego karabin maszynowy został zmodyfikowany dzięki jego znajomości mechaniki. Acha, jak zwykle Steroid odmawia oddania moczu do analizy.

The first military unit of Olisadebe's army is finished. His tribesmen have received new uniforms and lots of post-Soviet weapons such AK-47, SKS, RPD and RPG. Also they have received the instructor. This officer is famous Bobby "Steroid" Gontarski from A.I.M. (Associaton of International Mercenaries).

I'm the loyal "Jagged Alliance 2" computer game series fan and I want to transfer some mercenaries from MERC and A.I.M to my Olisadebe's army. Steroid is one of my most beloved dog of war in "Jagged Alliance 2".

This ex-fireman from Warsaw is very effecive in night operations and his knowlegde of electronics has quite good level. As you can see - he is the talented officer. His brutal strength and intimidate skill makes his team more effecive than other Olisadebe's army units. I think their soldiers should have D10 morale in "Ambush Alley: Force on Force" if they will be commanded by Steroid.

Because Steroid after Arulco campaign feels like the true veteran - he wears some military clothing: M65 Woodland trousers, Flak Vest and the red beret - the same as Polish paratroopers. His machine gun is upgraded by himself thanks to his mechanical skills. And as always he still refuses to submit to urine testing.
