Istnieją jednostki, dla których przynajmniej część tajemnic pustyni stoi otworem. Ci ludzie urodzili się pośród piasków i są lepiej obeznani z terenem niż jakikolwiek podróżny. Sami siebie nazywają Dziećmi Pustyni, a niegościnną krainę Matką.
